James: Faith In Action
The book of James in the Bible has been considered one of the most “practical” and “pragmatic” books of the New Testament. Interestingly enough, it does not directly mention the gospel in any of the text. However, the author of the book intentionally built on the foundation of the good news of Jesus Christ and even draws from texts such as the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) to illustrate what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in every walk of life. As we journey along, we will discover what it means to “Look Up” and recognize God’s mission to redeem the world, “Look In” to understand how God has gifted us and uniquely designed us to play a part in His plan, and “Look Out” to see people as God sees them.
